Poplar Grove National Cemetery Hosts Annual Luminary Program Nov. 14
Petersburg National Battlefield will honor veterans, past and present, during its annual Luminary Program at Poplar Grove National Cemetery on Saturday, Nov. 14. From 5:30 to 8 p.m., visitors are invited to walk among more than 6,000 luminaries illuminating the graves of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
The Luminary Program offers visitors an opportunity to learn about the individuals laid to rest at Poplar Grove National Cemetery. Throughout the evening, park rangers will share stories of those buried there, helping visitors better understand the lives and sacrifices of those honored at this historic site.
More event information is available on the park’s calendar of events.
